报告简介：
The aim of this report is to explore the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics in agriculture. With an increasing global population and limited resources, agriculture is facing huge challenges that require more efficient, sustainable and intelligent solutions. The emergence of AI and robotics has brought new opportunities and changes in the agriculture industry. There will be reference to a number of EU funded projects and other European initiatives.
报告人简介：
Dr. Spyros Fountas is a professor in Agricultural University of Athens (Greece). He holds MSc from Cranfield University (UK) in Information Technology, and PhD from Copenhagen University (Denmark) in Systems Analysis on Precision Agriculture. He was also Visiting Scholar at Purdue University (USA). He has participated in 25 European funded projects under H2020 framework, where he has been coordinator in 3 (Smart-AKIS, GATES, OPTIMA). He published 176 papers, and 7042 citations (Google scholar, July 2023).
